That's pretty much par for the course for a brand new tank for any middleweight jap bike.

When i binned my zx-10r (06) i needed a new tank, over £980 from the cornwall kawasaki centre.

Drove 200 miles to a breakers in donny and got tank, full road fairings, headlight cluster, switch assembly, front fairing bracket, and a few more bits and bobs all for £1300. Bargain, i guess..

Dave,

I didn't see the damage, but some bits could be repaired. There's a really good bloke near you if you're interested. It's the guy fixed and sparyed mine.
