Hi All,
I've only had my blue curvey for 2 weeks but i've noticed 1 minor annoyance, at the point where the 2 downpipes from the cylinders meet then join to the exhaust i've noticed that it is blowing a little around the clamp. My question is, if i loosened the clapm and the bolt holding the can on could i easily pust it a little further on and then tighten the clamp again or could you recomend a better way to fix it? I've also noticed some soot around the area that it is blowing, is that something i need to worry about or could it be simply what's left from the bike being un-used for a year? ie crap sitting in the carbs etc. |

Try the clamp otherwise Halfrauds > Fire Gum if it's worrying you that much.
You'll probably find it'll coke up (sooty bit) and stop blowing itself after a while. |

Silicone sealant also works, usually cheaper too

I'll certainly give one of the sealents a try, eventually i'll probably just buy a new can but untill the budget allows i'm sticking witht he stock one. |

yea if you loosen the clamp then you could try pushing the end can further on, maybe take it completely off first so it's loose enough then slip it on as far as you can, then give the clamp a good tighten.
not too sure, but i donl't think there's any reason to worry about the sootyness |

This stuff on the other hand always stays flexible and you really dont need the super duper stuff they tout as "made for motorbikes" on some websites. I use B&Q's own budget sealant. Cost about a fiver for a tube. Just make sure you get the one that dries clear or it looks a bit crap.
