Hey all,
Is it really worth spending the extra cash on R&G crash bugs when I can get other ones on the internet for less than half the price. Thanks KArtik |

ive just bought some r&g bungs and they do just look a bit more sturdy, ive seen some dodgy lookin ones online for about 30 quid,
i suppose it might be one of those things where you get what you pay for |

With a pointy R&G are the best
with the curvy's there is arguments for Motosliders (US based factory) being better than R&G. At the current exchange rates i think R&G's are about the same price

Broken brake pedal. Tiny scuff on exhaust, mirror and indicator. Broken lower fairing Cracked screen Now if I didnt have the R&G bungs (which held up incredibly well) I would have needed to repair, replace or repaint the following bits: Tank, Upper fairing Tail panels Probably levers etc etc etc Obviously I havent used the cheap ones on eBay but I can wholey recomend the R&G ones. Plus if your bike is fully faired you don't have to cut the fiarings with the R&Gs as they mount onto a plate between two of the engine bolts |

If you do a search on here there are some posts showing the results of cheaper alternative bungs. Having had a major spill on the motorway the R&G's saved my bike.
Motosliders are very good, in fact if you had a pointy without lower fairings I would suggest them over R&G. But please, don't buy the cheap versions. Someone from here crashed with the Suzuki ones on and they may as well have had a whole edam either side of the bike. They snapped instantly and didn't protect anything.

They are good, plus, if you damage say one side, you dont need to buy the whole kit; they supply all individual components seperately.

I dropped my SV when it had the basic bungs on it and they bent and cracked the fairing. I put R&G's on it after that because I was not confident the other ones would do anything if in an off. R&G's all the way.

Thread hijack sort of.... i bought some R&G's from someone on here for 03 onwards... i have a fully faired sport can i just unbolt the current crappy ones and attach the bungs on the current brackets or do i need to remove the fairing and put all the engine bar with mounts on as i have had conflicting storys...

If it was me, I would change the lot. They are designed to work with the R&G system. Would make no sense to keep half of it inferior and only add the bungs.
