Sussex rideout 14th/15th September

It was agreed by some of us on the Friday 10th Rideout through Kent that another weekday rideout would be a good idea to utilise some of the great roads East Sussex has to offer, without the worries of horrendous traffic!

I am free all week but tuesday 14th/wednesday 15th were touted as possibles so will leave it up to members to discuss when they are about. As always everyone and anyone is more than welcome along, will be advertised on the KSB forum too.

I'll happily lead (unless someone else particularly wants to)

....After much brain poking and google map studying I think I have come up with a pretty good route (see link below)

It's 80miles taking in a variety of roads (mostly quiet twisties though!) with a stop at Wesson's Café (and Lewes as well if necessary) and takes in some of the best roads round my neck of the woods for a good couple of hours riding.

Start finish is provisionally the Beachy Head Pub as this is quite easy for everyone to find, however can be started anywhere on the route as its a loop-of-sorts

I can no longer do Tuesday morning.

When: Wednesday 15th Sept - 0930 to leave at 1010hrs (i will be there from half 9 and will wait until just after 10 for any latecomers)

Where: Eastbourne, Beachy head pub

Route: Eastbourne, Jevington, Berwick, Horam (Wesson's), Ringmer, Lewes, Ditchling, Plumpton, Lewes, Newhaven, Seaford and returning to Eastbourne

Start time can be adjusted but thought it gives people closer to Kent a chance to make it, happy to move earlier/later if needs be

The weather forecast is Sunny spells so fingers crossed

Hope as many of you as possible can make it and sorry to those who now can't

Will hopefully be a great ride

Hey mate, more than happy if someone else wants to lead the route but I'm in Bedford for the term for uni mow so won't be able to unfortunately! Get over to the ksb forum as they have lots of rideouts and stuff going on down in the south east!!
