Its been many years but I have been a couple of times. It used to be a very informal place where they let youngsters sit in some of the aircraft.I have a pic somewhere of my son sitting in the pilots seat of the prototype mossie. No idea what the score is now though.

If you're going that way, why not do Duxford first and then go on to the Mossie Museum. Unless you've already done Duxford
If not go to the Shuttleworth collection. Its been a long time since I've been there, but the flying days were great http://www.shuttleworth.org/ Did you see the progs about the Wellington bomber and then the Battle of Britain with lucky barsteward Ewan McGregor

The Mosquito museum, is well worth a visit it's much more than just the Mosquito; lots of DeHaviland machinery. Ahh DeHaviland.
Beware of the restricted opening hours. Last edited by Essex of Essex; 22-09-10 at 04:39 PM. Reason: Opening hours |

Done Duxford, and will do it again on a flying day.
Shuttleworth sounds good, and will do the Mossie museum. Missed the Wellie doc but watched the McGregor, BoB, doc yesterday on Sky+

I didn't know about this museum. It's just up the road from me. Will have to go sometime (before the end of October, when it closes for winter)
