I am in 2 minds at what to do at the moment. I have a brand spanking new this year SV, with not a mark on it. I don't want it destroyed over a winter like we had last year.
I am just starting my Advanced riding course so I need to see that out. However I have torn my knee cartlidge mountain walking so I think it may be time to take my bike off the road for winter NOW. Anyone else doing the same, or are you going to brave the salt and corrosion? |

Mines in the garage tucked up for the winter. I'm done with winter riding.
If you are going to ride it then cover all the metal bits in ACF-50 and then dont wash it again till the spring.

Yeah I have to admit I don't know if I can be arsed with it. There is salt on the roads and my bike is still brand spanking. I don't enjoy riding in rain, never mind cold horrible carnage!
Surely I am not on my own! |

Mines away till spring.
If I'm going out, it will be on the KTM now. It would have to be a very nice day for me to take out the daytona at this time of year. |

Mine didn't have ACF-50 on it last year... and I rode it throughout winter for fun (got a car for the mundane task of commuting).
This was New Year's Eve up at the Ponderosa Cafe last year. The bike was and still is fine and not rusted whatsoever, just well cleaned after each and every ride in that type of weather to remove all the road salt and crud. |

Yep Fook that. Mines going in the garage - you deserve a medal for riding in that. |

Had mine out yesterday for a blast, still nice out there but by 'eck it got cold once the sun went down!
If I had a few quid spare I'd pick up a cheap, ratty hack for playing on over the winter this isn't winte yet, I hasten to add!) and keep the good bike, good. |
