Hi,
Would it be a good move? I know I need to test it out, but does anyone own or owned a GSXR 1000? could you give some insight on them? Should say GSXR not GAXR. Last edited by SUPERSTARDJ01; 27-10-10 at 02:57 PM. |

You've had the best so you may as well try the rest
![]() I had a go on a Fireblade ABS model and acceleration, brakes, handling everything just blew me away. But its waaaaay too much for the road and didnt give me the buzz my ninja does. I think someone on here said its more fun to ride a slow bike fast than it is to ride a fast bike slow. Unless your Rossi you'll be using about 1/4 of what the bikes capable of. I'm aiming for the GSXR750, somewhere in the middle ![]() Oh and just to be a pedantic pecker, if your Kwak is black its a B1H on a '04 plate like mine. The B2H didnt come in black. I was informed of this by a ![]()

I have a GSXR 1000 K8. Its proper mental like but will only go as fast or as slow as you want with control of your right wrist!
I went from an SV650S K9 to the thou. I test rode all the GSXRs at the time K8 600, K10 750 & 1000. I liked all of the bikes but found the 600 a little small IMO and to get the best out of it your constantly up and down the gears and near the rev limiter. Too much hard work for a lazy rider like me lol. The 750 had the extra power but the feel and weight of the 600. Everything about it was great, most notable was the suspension so much plusher than the stock SV. It pulls away in every gear so less up and down shifting. Originally I was looking to buy a 750 but the time the dealer got organised and a got a deposit together the bike was sold ![]() However another bike caught my eye the GSXR K8 1000, this one had a some Twin Arrow pipes on it. So I asked for a test ride and well the rest is history lol. I think the 1000 is a do it all bike, even touring if you travel light and fit some panniers. My advice is to test ride all you can and pick what feels right for you. Cant go wrong with a GSXR though ![]()
