EA servers not available at this time

Anyone trying to play online (PS3, xbox) at the moment. I've been trying to play online NHL for more than a week now on my ps3 and the servers still seem to be down - same message each time: "the EA servers are not available at this time".

I know Fifa and other games suffer from the same problem. Anyone else having trouble or know of a solution?

Got all updates etc installed? Sometimes it won't let ya play online if you've not updated everything...

Yeep everything updated. Actually it started since my last update I think. V annoying. Normally it's not down for this long.

The last PS3 update was rushed out after the keys got published to try and stop people from installing Linux or other home brew stuff so it's likely there'd be issues

Ironic that it was hacked within hours so it's the genuine customers who suffer Sony's hubris...

Try posting on the EA forums... I complained on there that my friend could connect to their stupid servers to play Hot Pursuit (rubbish game btw) but I couldn't. The support guy responded that their servers have NEVER gone down EVER since the game launched, and it must be something on my end.

I retorted that maybe they should make better servers, if I can connect to Xbox Live but not them?

Anyway, ask on there, you might get a more useful response than I did, but tbh once EA has your money they don't care about you.

still can't connect to online server. Kinda pointless buying a game if the best feature is online play yet u cant get online. Anyone else having problems?
