Letter from south wales police

just recieved two forms for speeding from the above, one for allegedly doing 35 in a 30 and the other for doing 55 in a 40 ,





















































good job i sold the bike to a dealer 11 months ago, and have not been to wales, south or otherwise since the AR a few points coming some ones way, muhahaha

Eek that's unlucky, hopefully you still have the bit of your V5 the dealer should give you when you sell it them... As I guess you've never had the change of ownership letter from the DVLA.

defo got the v5 bit from the dealer, thought i had recieved the conformation letter, but not found it yet, will have to go trauling through some bags and boxes of papers to see, although do i really need to, the police will send another letter to the dealer and they will have to tell them whom they sold the bike to, correct? Edit, the mrs just said to me, did i put a note on the form they sent me to ask if the oil tanker following the bike is getting done as well, lol. For those that don't know the reason i don't have that bike anymore is it used to use a bit/ a lot of oil.

Never mind the fact you don't own the bike anymore Andy, 35 mph in a 30 zone and they fined for that ??? FFs it's a bit anal for that close .

10% +2mph innit? My missus' uncle got done for the same.

both offences took place within ten mins, form in the post tomorrow, sooner the owner gets the good news the better

I believe in a 30 zone 33 you get a fine and 38 I think is a ban.

There are no automatic bans. 38 mph is still well within fixed penalty territory.

The only time I got done in N. Wales for speeding was in a new car. Inattention to the speedo meant I was pinged for 34 in a 30 about 60 meters after entering the 30 zone. Bang to rights, 30s is 30s. (this was in Bala, a well known camera van haunt and I should have been looking at the speedo, not the new toys in the new car...)
