Default itunes

[RANT]

Why does it cost more to download an album on itunes than buying it and getting it delivered from amazon? It makes no sense.

Ash - 1977 is £5.70 from amazon delivered, but itunes want £8

and why do they charge 79p for most tracks but £1 for the popular ones. grrrrr I hate itunes

Thats called Vendor Lock in that is.

Most iDiots would just pay the extra £2.30 for the convenience of not having to wait and then rip the CD themselves and consider it a bargain.

I still prefer a CD to an MP3

more convient and put it in the car if want to.

HMV 2 for £10 makes it cheaper than amzaon again

not at all, nobody is forcing the purchase from iTunes. This is just market choice.

Nothing stopping you buying the CD from Amazon, having it delivered, importing the disc and transferring it to your iPhone/iPod/iAnything. Or you could buy it through iTunes now and listen to it immeadiately. Just personal choice I guess.

According to Google, Tesco are selling the same cd for £13.77. iTunes seems reasonably priced compared to that

Thats what I do tbh as I like the back up.

There is no incentive for people to buy their tunes rather than download them illegally when iTunes charge more for less.
They haven't gotta burn a cd, print the label, assemble the box, get to the store then sell it, so why aren't iTunes a LOT cheaper than CD's ???

I used to just torrent everything and if I really liked it I'd buy the CD.

I would download it from itunes now if it was a reasonable price, but they're just taking the pi55. It should be at least half the price of a CD
