Default Difference between batteries, Pointy/Curvy?

whats the diff between curvy and pointy battery?

ct12a-bs for a curvy i found for £35

ctx12-bs for a pointy for £25

i have a curvy so whats the diff?

iirc, pointy battery is taller. 130 mm vs 106 or something.

Yep Pointy battery is taller.

It doesnt fit properly in the curvey, the battery terminal leads are to short and dont reach the terminal on the pointy battery, also the fuse tray then doesnt sit properly.

I had to put a pointy battery into a curvey as an emergency measure to get me home once, I ended up having to use some tape to hold the leads onto the battery terminals.

Of course you could extend the leads but for the sake of a tenner, I'd just purchase the right sized battery.
