Default Front brake problem

did one race meeting and slowly through out the day lost front brake.started off with lever on number 4 ended up on number one by the end of the day and at that it was coming right in

cleaned pistons drained fluid.bled up mint front brake again did second race meeting same problem again

any one got any ideas

is there another caliper that will bolt straight onto a 04 fork leg cheers

I'm running the brake adapter from Blair with some CBR calipers - loving it, far better than my SV setup was.

Be aware though they cover more of the disc than the standard pads so if your discs are old and have a lip it might cause you some problems.

Was it old (dark) fluid? sounds like its degassing from the water content.

Personally I've been using Halfords "race" fluid for two years now and have seen no negative effects. Its very light so you can tell easily when it goes dark.

this is a common problem on the SV and after a year or two of development we have managed to get solid braking with no fade during a race. If you PM me your mobile number I can talk you through some ideas.

Sorry to hijack this thread but...

I'm doing a brake line install at the weekend, which fluid would be best?

Berlin are you talking about the DOT 5.1 high performance brake fluid?

Any one have any other suggestions?
