The Boat That Guy (Martin) Built

Hot on the heels of watching TT3D and being introduced to the character that is Guy Martin I was checking the twitter stream from @guymartinracing and saw a BBC Breakfast interview and it mentioned the boat that Guy built.

I'd heard of the series but knew nothing of it. Well worth a watch if you can get your hands on it, I've just watched the first episode and thought it was really interesting, can definitely see the Dibnah comparison now, he sort of reminded me of him before but he is definitely in the same vein.

yes i watched the lot and thought it was great and so did the wife but she always had a thing for wolverine from x-men.

Brett, the series was on a few weeks ago on BBC, last episode finished about two weeks or so ago.
There has been a thread about it and everything lol

Was a great series! Arent they trying to get support for a second series?

I'm suprised so many people are only just hearing about guy martin... People need to get out an watch some proper road racing. I first remember seeing him at olivers mount gold cup and he decimated everyone. He's not so good on the track in BSB but on a tight road circuit he is a legend.

Yeah I know, I'm late to the party, I recall seeing a thread on here and hearing the series name mentioned on TV but didn't realise what it was about and didn't know who Guy Martin was. I guess in my head I'd thought of it as a spinoff series from 3 men in a boat or something of that nature so it hadn't interested me.

Really like the guy though, impressive racer and is so personable too.

Wow that explains everything, I adored Hugh Jackman in that too! Clearly YC needs to grow muttonchops hahaha.




I knew of Guy Martin before the telly series but when he's racing you don't really get to the see the proparrrr side to him and he's so funny. And a creature of habit and repeated phrases

He is a funny, but I get the impression he would slowly drive me completely insane if I had to spend any amount of time with him. I'd eventually start to hate all his constant catchphrases

There was an old guy we used to work with and he had sooo many catchprases that he used all the time without even realising he was doing it. Drove you mad listening to him lol
