Default Could have been very nasty

One of my mates is away with a crowd of friends from another place in France this weekend. Salad Dodger as he's known has just bought a new GoldWing to replace the previous one he's done about 150,000 miles on.

As he was trotting along quite merrily on his shiny new bike, this happened

I'm not sure if it's a jack handle or a cranking handle, but I do know it's a f*ck off huge piece of metal that could have done some serious damage had it hit him personally and not his bike.

Apparently the driver of the artic it fell off stopped to check he was ok then buggered off uninterested when he found out he was.

Hope he went out and brought a lottery ticket after that ... and a change of underwear.

Glad your mate is OK, but f*ck me thats one ugly bike. Are you sure it fell off the lorry, or did the driver throw it at the bike in an attempt to improve the looks of it.

That would have had his leg off. The truck may have seen it pinging along the road and saw it get kicked up. Ive had things pass under my car when unavoidable and get kicked up into cars behind me.

I doubt it would have removed a leg , but it would have caused some serious tissue trauma . Now if he had been a mere moment later would that have gained enough height to hit him in the shoulder or lid ?
