Hi all..
just wondering how easy it would be to take off my front nose cone and swap it for a streetfighter headlight? I do a fair bit of touring so i wanted to have the best of both worlds.. If i was planning a trip away i could put the nose cone back on to help with wind resistance but during the summer i could have the look of a streetfighter with some renthal bars. Anyone done this? or know how easy clocks etc are to change? If anyone has any ideas on the headlight im looking for inspiration Ta muchly |

I've got no idea how to do anything about it. I'm sure it's not hugely difficult if you're using all SV parts. But I had the idea of putting a KTM Superduke 990 headlight on my Naked 2004 Pointy. Looked up bits needed out of interest and worked out it would be about £200 worth of parts give or take to do it.
I've been looking around because I think the Naked needs a better looking headlight. The original looks good, I've got a screen on there aswell, but I really think it needs something more aggressive looking, as the rest of the bike has that look to it. It just needs completing with a headlight. I've decided to put it off for now until at least winter for a couple of reasons. 1 I don't have the money right now. 2 I really don't know whether to switch the headlight as I like the original aswell so kinda stuck. And 3 I would rather be riding it than taking the thing apart so its unrideable for a few days to modify it and missing out on lovely weather |

Don't do it!
Buy a naked and do it that way, far easier. Don't do it anyway, cos I don't really like streetfighters ![]()

Lol mine has had so much money spent on it, it would be cheaper to convert it!
I'm training to be a motorbike instructor as from July and i need stright bars for plodding around town at 30mph and i think it may look a bit daft with renthal bars and the front nose cone? Il see this weekend put up some pics |

Trust me it won't look stupid with high rise bars, have a look at Danf's pointy S with the comfort kit on.
Snap these up before they dissapear, as this is a good price. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...E:B:SS:GB:1123 You will need longer throttle, cluch & choke cables. But as I do a bit of instructing myself I can agree that the S is not very user friendly. The other option is to buy some helibars or Gilles Variobars, but they are much more expensive that the top yoke above

Buy a different bike and use that instead.
The SV isn't the best for that slow-speed stuff, get a Bandit or a Hornet and get your naked bike that way. Also means you wont cram a load of miles on the SV for work.
