Default fairing repair quality?

hello all.
has anyone had their sv fairings repaired + repainted.
I have a hole in the corner of my fairing (pointy) by the headlight as well as some scuffs along the seat cowl. a car pulled out on me without looking and I ended up sliding down the road .
what is the quality of the repairs like on plastics. can you tell its been repaired and repainted.
a new set will cost me around £500, but i can get it repaired for half that. Im just a bit sceptical that the repair will be obvious.
I have tried e-bay for a while but its the copper colour and they dont turn up very often.
any replies appreciated

I had the fairings plastic welded on my curvy last year after an off. Dilwyn Parry at Smartfix did a brilliant job for me. Get someone good like this to do the job and you wouldn't know it'd been done. I'm due to get the plastics properly resprayed soon, once that's done they'll look like new again.

You definitely get what you pay for. I wouldn't scrimp on it. Cheap paint/repairs look cheap.

Isn't the other guys insurance going to pay for the fix?

So new parts = no cost?

I had (and still have it as a spare) a black lhs lower that was smashed to buggery, but was plastic welded and resprayed/lacquered to look like new.

Cost about £100 and looks sparkly! Find someone good and it'll work out cheaper than new.
