Yup - it's a big place. Closest for you would probably be a tossup between Squires and Seaways for meets, and for riding go throw darts at a map. Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors are both not far from you for riding to your North West and East respectively, and you could probably be at the seaside within a couple of hours.

Very much so - Google maps says it takes just over an hour from York to Bridlington directly, and it's about the same to Scarborough and Whitby too. I can't think what you're suggesting...
Looking the other way, you can allegedly be in Morecambe in 2 and a half hours |
