Christmas Holiday Recommendations Please!

I hate christmas, so last year we decided to try Christmas away from home, we went to Dumfries & Galloway and had a great time, kids too.

So we want to go away this year too, don't mind where at home or abroad?

But not too expensive...so what suggestions have you got?

We stayed there for a week over the half term break. Very reasonably priced and very, very comfy.

In fact, we liked it so much that we booked for next Whitsun as well!

Our boys are in their late teens, so Christmas of late has lost its magic. So last year we went skiing in Italy. They celebrate on Christmas eve. Christmas day was quiet. But we took pickled eggs, mince pies and quality street into our "local" bar.

The wife has been looking t the canaries, as we have just got back from Fuertaventura and she liked it...I don't have any real issue with that either other than the cost!
