Haha. There's a bunch o lads on the tuono forum that always type in Scots. Can get a bit confusing for the Sasenachs when Weegies, Brochs, Teuchters and Fifers all chat on the same thread.

Ahhhh its finally clicked. I was wondering about how strange the name Mabozzar was and just realised thanks to all this slang talk that his second name is meant to be Itchy.
Sorry for being a bit slow haha Last edited by Artful; 21-06-11 at 03:48 PM. |

It gives me a sore head trying to decipher it - and I live up here!
Up there with txt spk in the annoying stakes for me I'm afraid. Wear a kilt, eat haggis, play the bagpipes or be mordibly obese (joke, please don't hit me!) if you're that keen to affirm your Scottishness! No offence like! Last edited by JamesMio; 21-06-11 at 03:19 PM. |

ayrshire has not got a patch on aberdoinan or fife lingo.
when i first came to fife i worked in a takeaway at nights and one bloke came in, started chatting away. i could not understand a feckin word he was saying. same with aber, worked there for a wee while and had a constant perplexed look on my face. |
