Heys guys and girls,
I was out riding yesterday, and for some reason my rear hugger decided to crack/snap in 3 out of the 4 mounts. I need a blue rear hugger for a curvy ASAP as i'm going to Brighton at the end of next week and don't fancy doing a 400 mile round trip without a chain guard ![]() Cheers everyone |

No i think it's broken beyond repair, plus, I'm quite useless when it comes to anything even remotely DIY ish lol

If you can use superglue, I have a method that is simple and will be better than new.

theres quite a few pieces missing though from it rattling around before me realising that it was buggered, so i don't think it would be possible mate.
What would you're suggestion have been just out of curiosity? |

Q-Bond
It's super glue, with a separate powder. You glue the bits like normal, then sprinkle some power on the inside of the join, then glue and powder and so on, until you have built up a layer of new plastic on the inside. It ends up stronger that the original plastic. Very good stuff and very easy to use. Regards |

Quick hint - you will find it easier to get a chain guard than a hugger.
So ask a MOD to change your thread title to something useful, like "Hugger/Chain Guard urgently needed" and go down that route. Unfortunatly I have already given away the couple of spare cjain guards I had.

cheers for the advice guys, unfortunately i don't have the missing bits.
I have just bought a second hand hugger from an orger but he neglected to tell me that it was almost as broken as the one it should have been replacing, so don't think i can use that one either. I needed it tomorrow as i'm going to brighton so doing roughly a 500 mile round trip. Looks like i'll just have to do it without a hugger or chain guard ![]() |
