Default Sat Nav mount for SV?

Hi everyone,

I want to put a SatNav 'ball' style mount on my 650 but due to the lack of space on the handle bars i can't ....

The three options i can see to mount sat navs are

- clip to the handle bars (but the SV has no space..)
- a plate on the brake fluid reservior (but the SV has a circular one and i can only find rectangular plate..)
- a 'fork stem yolk mount' (but i cant see it'll fit the SV..)

Hope i'm not just being a div...

Anyone had the same problem? and if so your advice would be appreciated!!

Cheers

There's room for a handle bar mount on the pointy but not the curvy.

If you want a fork stem fixing try here - http://www.telferizer.com/

Here's my Telferizer on my curvy, solid, doesn't vibrate and is nice and central. If your top yoke nut doesn't have a hole in it, then just buy one from an earlier SV or Tasty Nuts sell fancy anodised ones.

Telferizers are £27 and worth every penny, plus they're dead easy to fit

Should have said ive got the pointy, but still i rekon there is only 1cm max if i move the clutch bit up the bar, so not enought room for the adapter ive got.

The lack of hole in the yolk nut was what was confusing me! Ill probably end up goin for that option then...

Cheers guys!!

Its about time we had a sticky thread in the SV tuning and tweaking section as its a frequentley asked question.

Wish I was on commission for the number of times I've recommended a Telferizer recently

I use black tack on mine - either to the yoke or the front of the tank : I was concerned about it falling off, but it seems the longer its on the more 'firm' it is -- brilliant stuff ! And it doesn't leave any residue when you take it off

My Garmin mounts to the front brake master cylinder/brake lever by means of a longer bolt. I like the Telferize idea though.
