Either you're thrashing the t*ts off it or something is wrong

thrashing the titz of it would still get at least 100miles to a tank on a pointy restricted or not.
there must be something wrong with the bike |

Are you brimming the tank or filling it on the sidestand?
Sounds like it's burning way too much fuel, I would've thought even thrashing it for the whole day on a track you'd still get 100 to a tank. |

Have you checked for fuel leaks or is your tank drain rotted through?

Are you putting the nozzle full in to your tank and then taking it out when the nozzle stop pumping any more petrol into the tank ?.
Only way I can think of, you not filling it up to the top..either that or you’ve got a leak.. sv650 even on a bad day should get you to @100 to a tank.

wow, thats incredibly bad, thats less MPG than a big thirsty thou!!!
A 650 shouldn't be churning out such bad fuel consumption.
