Lidl disk lock for the SV?
I bought a Lidl disc lock for £7.99 today. It says it can fit onto disc breaks up to 9mm. Would it fit onto an SV K6? I have yet to buy the SV, so can't try it.

Pretty sure i read on here about someone who had a lidl disc lock that one day decided to stay locked to the disc. Had to hack saw it off i believe.

The Lidl Disk lock is fine at first but the metal is soft and soon the key stops working, it kind of enlarges the key hole quite quickly, if you get what I mean. I nearly got stuck at work and it took 25 minutes of jiggling twisting cursing and cajoling before I finally got it off, never to be put on again. Sorry, lidl but you got what you pay for and they're a false economy. Avoid.
(NB: the lidl tank bag was a bargain and excellent on my VanVan when I was learning, sadly didn't migrate well to the shape of the SV tank so not everything in the Lidl range is ****!) |
