Default my boy passed his CBT today

My middle child and youngest boy (23) passed his CBT today. He has not been on a bike before and his mum hoped he wouldn't like it. He called to say he was finished just as I was off out on the bike, his mums car is in for service so she had mine. I had to collect him on the GSXR, the first pillion I've had since 1991and I've never taken a pillion on a sport bike so it was a very steady ride home as the wife had told me " if you kill him I'll kill you".
Now he's so enthused he wants to take a week off work to do the direct access. I can already hear the words Dad can I borrow the SV, eeeeeerrrrrmmmm NO

Well done to your boy, although it wasn't me who passed him

I passed another one today, although it was a close call to making him do some more road time

Yep not my SV, I've got a VT500EF that needs a bit of TLC he can have that till he gets some miles in.
He's also talking about the Top Gear challenge ride.

well done to your Lad.

i wish i had that problem. both my sons like the look of them but are adamant that they will never ever get on one. this i do not understand as they are in a family of bikers. the only other explanation i can come up with is that they are not mine

Awww, well done to the lad, it is taking a step into a new world when you pass your CBT.

We have this joy to look forwards to in March. Wifey's son reaches the grand old age of sixteen and has been adamant that he wants a bike since he first got a ride on the pillion on the SV. Sat in our garage and very well locked up just in case he gets any silly ideas is a five year old DT50.

Mind you, I am tempted to take it for a blast up the woods, it does have off road tyres on it and I am pretty sure it should be nearly as powerful as my Mountain Bike!

Its been a positive joy for me and a bit of fun. In the house before we leave he said " do I need my phone" I reply "yes so you can tell us which hospital your at" feck off was the answer.
