Default SV temperature

What does everyone's temperature gauge normally read at once she's warm? Mine hovers around 88 degrees, just wondering if that's normal?

yeah thats fine. I bought a 600 SRAD and the manual for that said 105 before the radiator fan comes on! On my SV below 90 all summer was the norm.

Cheers guys, I have a habit of worrying about little bits and pieces; puts my mind at rest!

What does the temperature need to be before the SV radiator fan comes on?

Sounds right to me. Mine, depending on the outside air temperature and my average speed, usually varies between 85 and 92. I'd say it reads bang on 90 degrees most of the time commuting in London, highest I've seen it has been 98 in slow traffic on a hot day.

mine:

moving = 74-78c

stand still = how long is a piece of string but fan usually kicks in around 98c

if your suffering high temps it might be time to change the oil and or coolant.

Seems that mine is hitting about the average mark then. Highest I've seen is 101c, not sure if the fan came on as all I could hear was the roar of bikes around me as I was making my way through heavy traffic leaving cadwell bsb.
