Oh mighty Org..............
I had to get a new camera, distress purchase, old one died. I like Canon pics so went with an Ixus 220HS after researching. Very nice. Anyway, movies are .mov which I believe are h264 (?), and at the moment I haven't anything to play them. Following the interweb link from the error message gives me Apple Quicktime (seems to get criticised), Final Media Player, and Real Player. What freeby player would you recommend? Not really wanting to do editing, just viewing.

windows media player will play them, but if you're not into that try VLC.
Cheers Mark.

WMP 11 doesn't play them, unless it needs another codec. Just says not recognised but it'll give it a go if I want (but it won't play anyway).

What version of Winders are you using? My work Win 7 laptop can play H.264 with no problems using Windows Media Player. I'd recommend downloading VLC and using that: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
