Default Spark Plug problem

Hi guys i just want to know what colour the plugs should be, this sounds dumb, but in my experience a light brown colour has always indicated a sound mixture, however my haynes manual says that most modern bikes run on a pale grey/brown colour.

My k9 sv has an MTC gp pro slip on and after taking the plugs out to check the gaps i noticed all four was very light grey, edging on white, i have avoided riding it from worrying.

Happened to do a service on my car today. The plugs look like

which I'd say is as near text book perfect as you'll see.

Modern plugs are engineered to run a bit hotter than in days of yore, and engines run generally cleaner than Mr. Haynes fondly recalls.

Those plugs are 30k mile NGK iridiums. Look good for another 30k to me.
