Default Which tank bag - curvy.

Hope this is the correct location for this.

I have heard that some tank bags don't work well with the shaped tank on this bike.

Which bags work well with the curvy?

Bagster clip-on bags work fine if you're after a nice stable harness jobbie. Can't answer for the magnetic/scratch-the-hell-out-of-your-paintwork variety.

My Buffalo (Tech7) magnetic bag seems to sit fine on both my curvy and pointy, although I have been considering a Bagster option because I have marked my curvy using this bag almost daily for two years. Not really scratched, but well worn at the head where the strap points rub. I never strap it mind, so these just sit there right on the paintwork.

Its this model, although I didn't pay that much for it. Is a really good compact bag. http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/5...uggage/Buffalo

I am very happy with my Bagster. It is 6 years old and used every weekday in all weathers and still going strong.

Cool thanks I'll look into those. Is this kinda stuff going to ruin the paint? It is in perfect condition at the moment and I'd be very annoyed at myself if I scratched it.

A properly fitted Bagster cover will not mark the paint.

I now have one for sale by the way as I've changed bike. Will suit a 2000 blue curvy.

I used a cheap & cheerful magnetic one for years. Just make sure you put a tea towel or something underneath if you don't want to worry about scratching your tank. Mine didn't seem to scratch at all.

My 11 year old curvy isnt too bothered about scratches on the tank.Having said that I use an old Givi magnetic bag and its ok as long as you are careful with it and keep it clean

The only scratch I have had from my magnetic bag is on my little Honda. I hadn't realised a magnet had picked up a tiny, black fragment of metal. Ouch!
