Default Xena Disc Locks

Hey guys,

Well i got my Xena XX10 today, it really seems like a good strong piece of kit. Works well with a very loud alarm. It is now in place on my lovely new SV !

I just wondered as they seem quite popular if anyone who has one knows how long the battery will last? It will probably go sometimes a couple of weeks without my bike being touched so would be on for long periods at a time? I dont want the battery to run out without me knowing.

Any help will be good.

Cheers

How long is a piece of string? the batteries will last depending on how much the alarm is used. I should imagine with 'average' use, you should easily get 3 months

I will have to keep an eye on it. It says in the website under normal use it should last 8 months?? Hopefully replacements wont be too pricey. Cant seem to find them on the net.

No chance on 8 months.
Mine last about a month, two if I'm lucky.

Gets pricey at 6 batteries a go too.

Had mine for 3 months and battery still doesn't need changing, even with my mates finding it funny to set it off at least once a week.

The battery on my XN14 lasted about 6 months. It did come with a replacement set of batteries but not sure how long the other set lasted. I have removed the batteries from mine as my bike is parked in my brothers work, its a secure underground carpark with 24hr CCTV camera's and patrolled regulary!

I was once asked what was I was doing near the bike by a guard, i had to show him the keys just to make sure i wasn't trying to steal me own bike Least they are on the ball though! To be fair he only just started that morning
