Default fitting original cbr600rr exhaust

has anyone done this on a 2003 onwards with an under seat exhaust?

i have order a new exhaust from BR tuning over a week ago and was expecting it this week. in preparation to its arrival i took off my original ready to fit the new one.

but they have ordered the wrong part or the wrong part have turned up and now have to wait another 2 weeks if not until after Christmas until it arrives which means not being able to use my cbr600rr. which is a joke considering how much i paid to put it on the road.

so solution is put original back on. but can i do it? NO!

the small sleeve used to make air tight seal keeps folding when you try put original back on. there is no room by foot peg where it fits on as the thing extends to the rear of the tail and it is frustrating me beyond believe to try do this simple task. anyone got any advise who have done this.

You need a new gasket... it will be like £3 from your local honda dealer

managed to salvage old one. the tools needed for this particular technique is:

- a vice
- flat bladed screw driver
- angry man power
- brute force

and resulted in a sealed join for the exhaust, bleeding finger for me, and a wasted hour of my time.

JOB DONE!
