Hi all,
Bit of a long shot but I don't suppose any of you fix cookers or electrical appliances? My rangemaster 110 electric has just stopped working, checked the fuse box to house and all ok, can't find a fuse on the cooker and not sure how to use a volt metre. Any help much appreciated. |

First off confirm it's getting some juice, a mains-tester screwdriver on the live wire in the wall plate should tell you. The cooker will have a fat wire foming out of it to a plate in the wall. Take the plate off (couple of small screws) and you'll see the wiring underneath. Put flat-blade end of screwdriver on bare metal bit where red wire goes and put finger on metal handle end of screwdriver, should light up. If not then it's got no power to this point. Hopefully someone on here can help further otherwise get over to the white goods forums (google it), there is loads of stuff on there and also the guys are very helpful.

Has the whole cooker lost power or just the oven section . Is it a completely Electric or is it a Dual Fuel ?

Cheers for the replies, it's all sorted now, it was the electrical supply at fault.
