Default Insurance Sux!

my insurance is up for renewal in the new year and i've been searching around...

managed to get a cheapish quote but not one insurer provides a free courtesy bike if you are in an accident (while they are deciding who is to blame), if it is you then no chance, if it is the 3rd party then you can get one... but in the mean time NO BIKE...

MCE offer the cover at £65 added extra!!!!

car insurance it comes as standard...

I have had to cancel my current renewal and get a new quote with the same insurer to get a lower cost .. go figure (Hastings)...

but in the mean time... does anyone know any insurance provider that provides a free courtesy bike.

thanks!

yes excesses are usually huge, but they normally say if you pay £15 then they waive the excess....

i wish i had a cheap honda xr or something for just in case... well hopefully nothing will happen otherwise I will be another person on the tube...

I pay £58 a year with Swinton, and they offered me easy terms on that as well No courtesy bike though but I figure I can probably afford the odd taxi at that sort of price.

Don't think I'm smug. I would really prefer to be paying £600 and be 21 again

I am with CIA and as soon as I reported my accident they offered the hire bike, which although being an absolute bore to ride meant I could still get about. My premium is rather good and the wife and I are insured on our fleet, with commuting cover for just over £400 for both of us fully comp. It pays to be old!

I would absolutely avoid at all costs any company with the initials MCE in their name. I am happy to give you my opinion on them which is based on my experiences with them.
