Happy birthday dude. I hope you got the mrs to give you your 'birthday prezzie' early to put you back to sleep. Enjoy the bike.

What a nice birthday, sounds like a good one. Have fun and as stated take it careful for a while, the bike is capable of far more than most realise.

I got caught out but then I'm not the brightest button. but I also know that better than me have had worse too.

Enjoy the ride(s)

I know what you meant but I've got this image of someone riding along trying to get their foot on the handlebars

There is an adjustment nut IIRC that lets you adjust the height of the lever which may well help. You also get used to the movement after a little while so it might feel unnatural at first.

Sounds good re the ride though and at least you have got the first drop out of the way off the bat now, you can bet on it that you won't end up dropping it again now its already been done. It's all a learning experience anyway.

You're gonna have to explain that boot under clutch reference to me, cos I haven't got a scoobydoo what he's on about.

I might be a bit of a girl, but I rarely push my bike. I always sit on it and push it along, have never dropped a bike, and I think it's for that reason. It helps having legs longer than a giraffe. The only time I push it is moving it round the garage a bit, and then it's always on the opposite side to the stand with the stand down. My time will come though, I'm sure.

Glad you enjoyed riding mate. It's sunny outside. I'm tempted to take a long lunch ............. very tempted ......

Assuming that its the GEAR lever not clutch you are having problems with...

Take a 10mm spanner, loosen off the 2 lock-nuts that connect the rod that goes between the foot peg and the gearbox.

If you then roll that rod between your fingers you will see the foot-peg go up or down as you effectively make that rod longer or shorter.

Once it looks good to you, tighten the nuts up again and give it a go.

Jobs Jobbed.
