Default Things I cannot do without

First my family, second my bike and as I have just discovered third my netbook and this forum. I did not know how much I would miss my netbook if I didn't have it, then my son accidentally spilled a cup of water over it this afternoon. No life from it at all, hubby tried using the hairdryer (I am amazed he knew how to turn it on he has been bald for so long!) still dead. A general pallor of unhappiness permeated the house, then I thought I would just give it one more try and it worked. Whole house is now happy because mum has her netbook back. Think about it, how long could you last without this little window on the world.

Ah you've been infected too, there's no known cure

If you've got an airing cupboard, stick it in there overnight to dry it out properly or in a plastic bag with some rice

Yup, the airing cupboard was where it went for the hour before I turned a cool hairdryer on it. The freezer-bag & rice trick might be used as a double-check overnight though.
