At about £80-90 these are budget waterproof trousers but their big appeal is the full leg zip. It makes them an ideal design for commuting.
The trouble is I've had two pairs and they both leaked in the crotch after about 20mns in the rain. That's from almost new, so they definitely weren't worn out. Aside from leaking (OK, that is a major failure!) they are a good design and are well-made. Weise use robust materials and excellent, chunky zips. Such a shame, because if they didn't leak (and the thermal lining was removable), I'd heartily recommend them. |

I have a pair or NRG's and they leaked in the crotch and left thigh which was a shame as they are quite comfortable. Rather than sending them back I treated them with some Nikwax TX Direct waterproofing goop.
Seems to have done the job but I've not been caught out in a big downpour yet. Maybe ill go stand in the shower and put them to the test! ![]() |
