Afternoon all...
So when this orrible weather disappears I'm thinking about trading my sv650s for a 05' Fireblade. Now i realise this is a pretty big jump but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similiar experiance and what they found?... Was the power to much? the extra weight?... I'm taking it for testride ASAP... |

Throttle goes both ways, it's a piece of **** to jump up. If you got on fine with the SV then you'll be fine. Except for perhaps the decreased enjoyment of riding a larger cc sportsbike.

I've had SVs and Blades and really enjoyed both. I found the Blade more comfortable and the power spread is good without being silly scary. If you can ride an SV you can ride a Blade easily IMHO. Enjoy 2 wheels mate, whatever they are. We are all bikers after all, just the choice of steed differs.

I went from an SV to a Fireblade. The Blade is a much better bike in every respect. Get one, you wont regret it.
Having said that I did high side mine, maybe it wouldn't have happened on a less powerful bike.

I had a go on one, faster than you could ever reasonably need, very accessible power and smooth. Pretty good handling, stable. engine lets them down, despite the speed it feels like riding a laptop.
