Default Are all SV front brake calipers the same?

Doh! just committed an act of ultimate muppetry - Home time... Forget disc lock, vroom, bang, smashed front caliper - aargh!

Two questions -
I've cracked a chunk off the bit where one of the sliders goes in. The brake is operating so I managed to get it home (slowly) but the pad is rubbing slightly on the disc so getting warm. Firstly, I'm presuming calipers can't be fixed as they are cast pieces - is that correct?

Assuming that is correct, I need to do some e-bay hunting. Is there any difference between the caliper for different years. Mine is a '10 plate sk09 model with the 'usual' Tokico unit. They all appear identical but will a caliper from any Mark II year fit?

Just have to hope I haven't also twonked the disc - no obvious signs of damage yet...

As far as I know all age SV calipers are the same, perhaps there may be a difference if you have ABS or something?

Gaz - Thanks for the offer but I picked some up from Fleabay last night. If they turn out to be rusty old toot I'll come crawling back to you!

YC - thanks - that was my understanding but thought I'd best check.

Wow that was some kind of a bang you gave it, have done the same thing a couple of times, but never hard enough to do damage.

Oh and you are better locking the rear wheel than the front.

What can I say... I was keen to get home!

It knocked about a 1cm piece off the caliper and also sliced a groove into the (Xena) disc lock body! I must admit I was a bit surprised by the damage. As above, just desperately hoping I haven't bent the disc too...

This, from the guy who dropped his off the side stand!

"now go out and buy a 'disc lock reminder'. "

Well, that may be a fair comment except that what I didn't mention in my original posting (no laughing at the back) is that it was an alarmed disc lock!! Answers on a postcard as to exactly how I managed that? Either these new earplugs are more effective than I thought or the alarm is playing up....

or, of course, I am a plonker.
