Default Getting knocked off hurts!

So out for a ride yesterday, bout 7.5hours total, cracking day until...

5mins from home, im in right hand lane on a roundabout on a dual carriageway, going straight on, when a bloke in a focus decides that he wants to turn right. From the left lane. Hmm. SMASH.

I had nowhere to go, mullered into his offside door / wing, next thing I know im sliding backwards seeing nothing but a tarmac coloured blur going past my visor at a distance of 0mm.

Once I came to a stop I had a load of passing drivers surrounding me, all of whom were kind enough to give witness statements to the police lady who turned up.

So after all my screaming, turns out I've got a broken hand and toe, mushed up soft tissue on my left knee and general strains / bruises all up my left side.

No idea how the bike is yet, I was bundled into ambulance before I could take a look and it was towed.

Turns out the car driver was an italian bloke driving a hire car, following his sat nav to the white rose centre

Crikey it takes ages to type one-handed!! Ah well, knee-down at last!!

Glad to hear you are sort of ok. At least with a hire car you know they have insurance. But I wouldn't hold out much hope for the return of your bike.

Hoping to go have a look at bike next couple of days. No idea what to expect. Apparently there's lots of blue plastic on the grass at that roundabout still...

Blimey, that sounds nasty. Hope you heal quickly and the bike is not too badly battered.

Woah! Glad you're in one piece. What really bugs me is that, since he's foreign, he won't get any endorsements on his license. At least if he was British you could hope for maybe some sort of penalties or fines to learn 'im!

RIP Blue Pointy.

Almost a year to the day you bought the bike you commemorate it by trying to mate it with an Italian....
Glad your humour didn't get dented and we'll sort the bike (or it's replacement out) not to worry main thing is we get you fixed and back on 2 wheels ASAP
