Hi all,[2006 K6 650s],Have been to every N.E.C. bike show since '06, on my shopping list has been a 'hugger'. Every year i've asked everyone there that sells them, '' can i have one in Satin Black so to match the swinging arm.'' Every time the same answer, No!. I pointed out to them that most bikes around these days have a satin black frame, hardly any bikes have a high gloss black finish. In fact one Rep.,[salesman]on the Suzuki stand last year said quote'' It's impossable to spray satin black'', Yer right thats why Halfords, wilkinson etc., sell cans of the stuff !. Before you say well buy one and spray it ,thats what i'm going to have to do . But paying around £100 for a hugger i don't think you should have to. The one i like is the Pyramid Plastics one,Just before i ordered it i read the Reviews. The latest one [2009] said 'It fitted well after it had been filled and sanded'. I emailed P.P. about this but they haven't replied. I know some time ago there was an issue over the toolbox hitting huggers but thought it had been sorted. Any body out there fitted a P.P.hugger to a K6 and had any issues ? Thanks Caz.

I have one on a K5 with no issues at all, and I don't think there are any significant differences to the K6.

Caz,
I recently fitted one to my SK6. The only "issue" I had was that I had to bend the mounting bracket a little to keep the hugger central and away from one edge fo the tyre. I know what you mean about the satin/gloss thing. Once mine was on, because the swingarm is a satin finish not a matt, I reckon it looks OK to be honest. I'll post a pic when I get home after work. Hi, called in to my local dealer to get a new No. plate for my new tailtidy, asked while i was waiting if they'd got a Hugger to fit my SV,and 'Hey Presto' they appeared with a very dusty Genuine Suzuki one with a tiny mark on it, that they'd had out the back for ages, '' how about £100 '', After sowing his arm back on..........
