Default Where to get 1 or 2 piece leather suits?

Hi, I'm after a new set of leathers, preferably a 2 piece but I could get 1 piece if the price is right.

One problem I'm having is I don't know where to even look? I've looked in Hein Gerecke but they were ridiculously overpriced. Had a look in the local dealer today and saw a RST 1pc reduced from £400 to £320 which seems alright.

Anyone know of any good places to get leathers from, or any good deals on at the moment? I need to look in J&S in Northwich as they have a large selection, their website appears to have nothing though.

I only wear 1 piece leathers these days

What used to be George Whites in Bolton (think its called motorcycle megastore) have a fair few leathers and good bargains, BKS suits were about £300 and look nice but the quality aint what it used to be (look in MCN for contact details)

I'd check the elasticated bits around crotch and underarms are kevlar not just fabric like most are these days.

Or 2nd hand on ebay

Hein Gerike PSX suits are top quality but I dont think Hein Gerick do them anymore so ebay it is

I've got both a one and a two piece.
One piece is great for just riding but if your planning on stopping for a brew etc, two piece is more
practical.
I see that you are in stoke, pop up to J&S in northwhich and have a word with Daniel, he's a top, helpful guy and they have loads of stock in.

If you can wait until May, then the BMF rally in Peterborough is sometimes a good place to pick a bargain up

i got both sets of my leathers from cissbury leathers (near brighton). i generally like and prefer Arleness stuff. although a tad expensive I think they look great and definitely have the protection. as i am finding some of the cheaper leathers look a tad poop, and protection is compromised.

for two piece i spent £450 (RRP £800)
for one piece i spent £650 (RRP £800)

but i bought the leathers at peak time and new season stuff and shopped around the lowest price for the exact colours and style i wanted. If your not bothered about style £300 will get you a good suit.
heres a few places that I like:

- Hein Gerik (hangle with manager for 10-20% off as i got it for my boots)
- J&S
- Cissbury leathers (only good for arleness/berik is found but had good stock when i went)
- as mentioned above george white was good but wether there stores are taken over or not i am not sure

good makes of leathers (for surfing the net to get a specific look at what style / protection you want)

- ARLENESS / BERIK (suits made in same place but very in price, arleness more expensive but if you shopp around can be cheap)
- dainese (very over priced)
- RST leathers
- frank thomas
- wolf leathers

if you find ones you like on internet i recomend going to leather shop trying on same size in the same make, then ordering.

generally you get what you pay for, most of my leathers are fairly old now, the odd jacket I've got recently anywhere near the quality has been pricey, but then look after it properly it'll last you years.

Cheers Mark.

Hi all, thanks all for the comments. Managed to find a RST Pro series 1 piece on offer, with £160 off in my size. It was the lower end of my budget so I thought why not. It's the same as the BSB riders, without the sponsors. Their leathers are probably kangeroo leather too I'd imagine.
