I work from home, so I get to catch 30 minutes of lunchtime tele while I'm stuffing my face. A couple of months ago I was watching Bargain Hunt over a bacon sarny, and at the end they popped up a website address if you wanted to be on the show. I thought, why not, as is my usual attitude.

Fast forward to now and 1 audition later and tomorrow me and the Mrs will be filming Bargain Hunt. We'll be the blue team, and I hope to buy something ridiculous while making an utter tool of myself. When they ask me about my interests, I'll try and name drop the org if I can organise my babbling.

The actual auction is filmed in June, so it probably won't be on tele until the second half of the year, but I'll be sure to plug my 15 minutes of embarrassment .... I mean fame, when it airs!!

do make sure you tell us when the show is airing and ill watch it have fun and dont make too much of a tool out yourself

We work very close to home, so we always get to watch bargain hunt, really quite jealous of you, I love trying to guess what things are going to sell for. Have a fantastic time, try not to make too much of a tool of yourself, remember it will be repeated time and again for ever and you will have to keep watching it wishing you hadn't been so dumb. You would be amazed where you will come across yourself on TV though, my dad did a bit with Richard Hammond on Engineering Connections and came across a repeat of himself in Thailand. I did some stuff for Paul Mckenna (success story inspirational bits) in the US years ago and I still come across it (luckily I am still slim so it doesn't embarrass me too much)

haha. Thanks for the advice! Don't be jealous! Just apply next time they promote the show. It's one of those things you don't bother with because the chances are so low of you getting on, but if you don't try, nothing happens. I would rather have been on the Cube, but Bargain Hunt will still be a laugh.

We've got our fleeces on all day so far. Just bought a load of crap. Maratime compass, 3 brass pigs and a 60s mirror. Not done the interviews with tim yet. Will see if i can name drop the org!

I think Bear used to do Cameraman duties on a few oo these types of shows.
