Default MOT for another year.

clean bill of health with no advisories.

was a bit worried about the 50w HID's i have installed but the inspector (he is strict as feck) said that they are spot on for level and beam pattern

Congratulations! always a relief. Am I going mad, I thought I'd read that you weren't meant to have HID unless they were originally fitted or something?

no your not going mad. you are quite correct.

the MOT inspector just checks for beam pattern and if it's not to within spec he will fail it. the fact there was no light scatter or blob he passed it. i myself was weary about it as they are fekin bright.

he did ask who set the pattern on them and when i told him it was me he was well impressed.

My bike is due at the end of April, that is thrity quid I would rather put in the tank. Will it pass? I damn well hope so, especially after the work I put into her. Am I alone in spending so much time in the garage playing and tinkering to keep my bike tip top? I truly do not think so!

does anyone else feel really nervous when their bike or car is getting MOT'd? I am always thinking that mine will fail and get butterflies in my stomach every time.

Well done Lance.

My 2000 curvy, 23k also sailed through the other week. I did replace the fork seals and rear tyre before it.
As far as the car is concerned, I use JUSt MOT's (no I'm not advertising them!) They do impartial MOT's so are much less likely to tell you it's failed, to get the repair work, just like some other garages do, charge you only £25 for the MOT, then tell you work needs doing, knowing you'll let them fix it, as you need your MOT.
