Simmi exhausts - opinions?
Hi Org'ers,
Does anyone have any opinions good/bad/indifferent with regard to the above. Considering buying a stainless can from them via flea bay and wanted to ask here before taking the plunge. Cheers in advance |

Re: Simmi exhausts - opinions?
Got a stainless one
Had one issue with the fit between the link and can (Jeff's a perfectionist and makes the can to suit the link pipes) caused by a undersized link pipe from Bike it Carbons seem to be hit and miss, but twins destroy carbon cans very quickly. The titaniums are meant to be the same weight as a box of smokes

Use the number on the Ad and ring them, Helen takes the order and you can ask for any length you want, just put on a 450 carbon oval and it,s right up there with quality. Sounds so good too.
Hope thats of help. twinset |

Re: Simmi exhausts - opinions?
Thanks for all the comments folks.
I went with a standard length oval can. All fitted only 3 days after placing the order, despite a note on his listing to say it would likely be 5-7 days. Sounds great and looks great. Can't recommend this guy enough. |

Re: Simmi exhausts - opinions?
I am no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. However, I do have to add that my original can had been cut off due to it having some accident by someone else an I had just fitted another standard can in it's place.
Today when fitting I found the link pipe a very neat fit but just added some fairy liquid to help it along and once it had been on the exhaust side once it was no problem after that. If you still have to cut your standard can off they recommend calling them 1st, I'd probably do that and at least they'll keep you right. However, if you don't need to cut it off then fitting will be pretty easy. It'll help to also have another pair of hands there too. |
