Default a weekend to forget!

First race of season at 3 sisters with pdmcc on Sunday. Went to test day Fri to get some wet testing in as never ridden there in wet. Has a reputation for being mega slippy! Arrived in time to see some one being taken away with broken arm. Track was dry in parts but damp and greasy in others with a few puddles thrown in. Only got one pair of well used wets to last weekend. You can see where this is going??? Couldn't afford to tear them up on dry bits that were getting bigger and bigger. Went out on dry scrubs and tiptoed around wet bits. Got about 5 laps in and just tried a bit more on damp righthander by pit lane. Oops, highsided. Red flag, medical centre! Checked out ok'ish, bike not too bad. Bit of hammering and swearing later back out again. Track practically dry now do no wet practice. Got up Saturday, Jesus h Christ. I had fallen lot harder than I thought. Knee anf elbow funny colours, ribs and neck in agony. Didn't know I banged my head til saw state of my shoei helmet. Hence repair bike more all Saturday then go get new helmet. Turned up to race in agony even with countless ibuprofen. Scrutineered my 'repairs' ok then the rain came. I only have car and trailer, soaked to skin, shivering, it was horrible. Practice was slowest i think I have ever ridden on a track! By the time practice was done there had been 5 crashes(one a bit nasty). Track was flooded badly at esses then they decided to abandon the meeting. Pack everything up and go home, got stuff drying all around the house. AH, THE GLAMOUR OF RACING IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND. It doesn't look like that on telly MOTO gp.lol

I bet you're still looking forward to the next round, am I right!?

Let us know if you do 3 Sisters again, I wouldn't mind watching some racing round there. I'll bring the camper and make you a cuppa

Testing at Aintree on Wednesday hopefully. Not got paperwork back yet as it was last minute decision. Race on sat 12 May if not booked up. Bit worried, never seen track apart from on YouTube! Don't know anyone who races there either. It was a bit of a spur of moment thing. Have heard since its very fast and bumpy with no separate rookie class!!

Aintree is pretty easy, not really a technical track. Very fast braking area coming off the main straight. Good for practicing slipstreaming , dont forget to pull out before the braking zone, especially if you're a late braker.

Oh yeah, lock your genny to something.

I heard some of the bumps are from tarmac repairs where scallys had torched stolen cars on track. Where does Liverpool get its reputation? Lol

Could happen anywhere to be fair, main problem is that the paddock is so close to the road and easily accessible to the public.
