Unusual for this forum to show apathy towards service personnel loss of life, I'm disappointed to see only one reply to this thread (Thanks Phil).

I didn't feel it was right to post any R.I.P whilst people were still missing, but the Defence Secretary has now announced that they must be presumed dead

RIP Flight Lieutenant Hywel Poole, Squadron Leader Samuel Bailey and Flight Lieutenant Adam Sanders

However tragic loss of life is in combat, you do to some extent expect it. Such a shame to see loss of life in a peacetime accident in this country though.

No apathy Col, just waiting to see how it all turned out, although after a days searching with no results I did suspect the worst.

There seems to be a lot more crashes in recent years to what there were previously - and I'm including trainers like Tutors etc.

RIP Guys.

Not directed at anyone in particular Tommy, I just found it strange that there were 84 views, and only one person posted "oh crap, hope they are OK".

Not the thread for a debate on it anyway, lets keep if for anyone that wants to say RIP now please.

Was showing a colleague Bluepetes stunning low level shots of these things when we heard this on the radio.

Bleak reminder of the dangers these guys take just practicing.

Absolute respect.

A dangerous business even in training, still I bet none of the guys doing that hate their job.

RIP, a waste of life but like when it's one of us, go out doing what you love.

R.I.P to those who've lost their lives, speedy recovery to those who are injured
