Hi all
I am just messaging to find out if anyone is available today to come out and do a repair on our heating tank. We had homeserve out lastnight as the water has now been dripping from the living room ceiling and they sealed the tap off (i.e just turned it off) but they could not do the repair because it's a special pressurised valve (I think). I can't tell you exactly the issue but apparently you need a didfferent qualification to fix it as it's a fairly new designed water tank. If anyone can help or know of a plumber who can carry out this work please let me know as soon as possible. We live in Castleford near Leeds and my landlord is saying everyone cannot come out today. We do not have any hot water at the moment so any help would be much appreciated Thanks Simone |

Thanks for the offer rory, had someone round Saturday who is gonna try get the part it needs today. So fingers crossed!
Did this sunday just so we could have a shower... ![]() Unfortunately water was also seeping between the tank outer wall and the insulation and leaking out the bottom. Still we managed to have hot water for an hour or two so it was worth it ![]() |

Ah I thought it was going to be an unvented cylinder, parts are fairly easy to get hold of for them and yes you do have to be qualified to install or maintain them. Unfortunately I'm a bit far from you be able to sort it out.

Some plumber said he'd have to replace the whole tank or even put a combo boiler. Cost would be between £1000 to £1500. But had done other guy in yesterday who said its something else. Can't remember so heat be able to fix it. But thanks for the reply

I'd edit your number out of your post above, not good to have it on public forum.
