Default Ultrabooks

My current laptop is a Samsung netbook and while I like it portability and 4 hours battery life the lack of power can be a pain when trying to run multiple applications so I have been looking at ultrabooks. Wont be able to afford one for a while but just keeping an eye out.

Anyone got one? Are they any good?

We make them but with so many of us we only get issued with "corporate standard" Lattitude notebooks. I've had a hands on play with one and it really did seem like a good piece of kit so good luck with the saving.

keep an eye out on the new intel haswell ulv chipset due out q2 2013 which has lower cpu power consumption. Otherwise aim for an ivy bridge model.

Simply next generation technology step for laptop evolution. No surprise they are faster, lighter, thinner and come with a bunch of new security features.

I've seen examples from Dell, Lenovo and some Intel prototypes. Very nice piece of kit.
