Default Had to call breakdown for the car.....but

Hi all,

So the car wouldn't start on 01/11/12, so we called breakdown turned out to be a flat battery, but when he opened the bonnet he failed the first time to open it and I heard a crack but he then opened it so thought nothing of it, then 3 or so weeks later I go to check the oil level and the bonnet release catch is broken or come off it's runners, we have our MOT booked in for Saturday.

So I call endsleigh breakdown who email the recovery company, I hear nothing, So I call again and find out it's CMG they're emailing, I call CMG and spoke to a very helpful manager who will speak to the complaints guy, awesome...so I think, a day goes by I call CMG for an update and I'm told it's going to take a few days to investigate and they wont speak to me now only the breakdown company

Now this wouldn't be an issue if it was an easy fix but it's going to cost me tomorrow between £50 and £200 but if they have to break the grille it's another £100.

What do you think my chances are at getting them to pay for it? any advise in dealing with this?

I've already stated they could send someone out to fix it or I'll get it fixed and invoice them for the work, parts, my time, my phone bill and fuel.

Any 12 year old could sort it in 30 seconds, then start it & drive off in another 30, quicker if you lend him the keys.

I think your going to have a hard job proving that they broke it even an hour after the repair let alone weeks
