Default How to clean a downpipe?

Hello

Sorry if in the wrong section,
Just after some advise of what is needed & how to clean up my K4 SV?

This is the worst of it, however a few bits and pieces towards the exhaust need a clean up as well.

Hoping to get my SV up on a paddock stand and give it a well deserved first clean in the new few weeks.
So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

East bit of emery cloth, not too coarse a grade, or a drill with a wire brush attachment. Then some Autosol and it'll come up nice and shiney. It's stainless steel under that brown muck.

Optiglanz will make short work of the worst of the crud. Then autosol and some scotchbrite to finish. Works for me.

Be careful if you use optiglanz though. It's great stuff but very corrosive and not good for eyes, skin or paint
