Default Bike has just fallen over

This is a first for me.
Decided to go out for a quick blast as I haven't used the bike for a week.

Turn round to lock my gate and the bike falls over. I can't have put the stand down properly. Gutted.
Can anyone offer some sympathy and links to where I can replace the mirror, fairing, and clock surround?

Could have been worse I suppose.

Nooooo! I feel your pain (despite mine not being nowhere near your damage).

Feeling quite gutted at the moment.

Really sorry to see that damage, seems a shame that it happened from a simple topple, you are very unlucky.

With the clock surround, you may be able to repair it with a soldering iron and some patience. It wont however ever look sparkly new again if you do.

As for finding replacement parts, do you want brand new or second hand?

If you don't mind second hand, try the parts wanted section on here. If that does not work, I tend to scour E-Bay looking for parts.

Thanks Jayne, 2nd hand preferably.
I think I'll have to get the parts and paint them.

Could have been so much worse and I only had a new exhaust fitted last week.

If you have a steady hand and all the parts to the clock surround are there then I highly recommend Q-Bond. It has some superglue and some power in the pack. You glue the parts as normal, then sprinkle a layer of the powder on and add more glue. It basically adds another layer of plastic to the inside. I fixed the wifes like this (2 cracks right the way through) and it took me a while to find the cracks the last time I looked for them! Either than or araldite the inside of them.

Regards
Phil

Bodge it up with a soldering iron/steady hand and keep an eye out on ebay. That's what I did, worked a charm
